What's Up With Me

What can I say? I moved over the weekend, and between sweating it out lifting boxes containing our collection of thousands of books and wondering where in the world my favorite pillow got packed, I'm downright exhausted. It's one thing moving to a dorm or an apartment when you're on your own. Throw in some clothes, pack a few extra socks and grab the bulletin board off the wall and you're good to go. But moving a family of four across the state in the cheapest, most efficient way possible is like trying to cram an elephant into a minivan. It ain't gonna happen without foresight and lots and lots of planning. Oh, and did I mention lots of sweating? I did? Pardon me while I grab a squirt gun. I'm burning up.

Anyway, this makes the 6th time I've moved during my life. The last 5 times were done all in the timespan of one year, which was pretty crazy. This time, I'm moving back to where I came from. Doing the old switcheroo. I can't even tell you how happy I am. I'll be able to walk to the city college, which is only down the street, and I can have lunch with my grandpa every week. Plus, I'll be writing a couple of novels over the summer and I'll be posting on and off over at NA Alley with my awesomesauce New Adult Sisters. And did I mention that I'll be adopting a kitten for my birthday? *insert applause here* I can't wait! I might even do a poll to see what you people think about potential names for my new bestie.

See you tweeps later, and don't forget to enter my Summertime Giveaway!
Cheers!

My Awesome Grandpa. He's the bestest. :)

  2. I'm glad to hear you've made the move successfully! Of course, now comes the unpacking & the inevitable "Where on earth did this thing even go in the old place? and where on earth is it going to go here?" I have stuffed things in my closet and someday maybe I'll just throw things away. Maybe.

KITTEN! I want to see this kitten when you get him/her.
