Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout Release Day!

** I received an ARC of this book from SHP in exchange for a fair and honest review**

Is it wrong for a girl to have a split personality? I would personally like to point out that this is what Alex's problem is in the beginning of Apollyon. She has merged with Seth, her other half, and their mentality is practically the same. What Seth wants, she wants. What Seth does, she does. Unfortunately, Seth is kind of psychotic and he wants to wipe out the world as we know it. So, yeah. There's a problem here. Alex has to get Seth the heck out of her head if she's going to regain her freedom back...and save the world from utter destruction at the hands of the gods...and keep her relationship with swoonworthy and overprotective Aiden St. Delphi together.
It's going to be a very long, very hard day. Or month.
Or whatever.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is definitely one of the most talented authors I've ever come across. I was so excited to receive this ARC that I was literally bouncing up and down like a total geek. Which, of course, I am, but hey. If you've read the Covenant Series, you can understand my excitement, can't you? I thought so. This book is incredibly exciting, very romantic, and full of Alex's signature cutting wit. I love how her character has matured from being a smart mouth kid to a more thoughtful young woman. She's not as hotheaded as she used to be. And is it wrong that I still have a truckload of sympathy for Seth? I know...he's the godkiller and the whole I-Am-Powerful-And-I'll-Destroy-You thing has gone to his head, but I still believe he's just a lost soul looking for some love. I won't say anything more, because I don't want to give anything away....In conclusion:
This was an amazing, pulse-pounding book and yes. Jennifer has done it AGAIN. Well, done! Applause, applause! I am continually wowed by the awesomeness of this series.

  1. Congrats Jennifer on all your success. This book sounds like another big seller, I like how you guys made it sound almost like no big deal that Seth wanted to destroy everything then got serious right after.
