But which one is truly better? As a literary lover, author and professional writer, I will always choose paper books in the end. Yet I appreciate and love the convenience of digital books. After all, my series has been in the top ten, top fifty and top one hundred kindle bestselling booklists for over a year now! I appreciate both. When it comes to choosing between the two, it's really a matter of personal preference. I will always have overflowing bookshelves in my office, bedroom and library. That's just the way I am. I think an excess of books shows that a person loves to learn and study and escape into a wonderful story.
What about you? What do you prefer? Or do you like to walk the line, too?
I prefer the paper as well! Most of the books cost the same on an eBook as on paperback copies, so it's really all about the convenience. I have to say it is nice if you travel a lot, but I really only use mine in the summer for that reason. Paper copies just feel better to read - almost more satisfying.

Me too! During the summer I love to read paper books while I'm on vacation, but they take up so much room in a suitcase, haha. That's the good thing about Kindle. It makes traveling easier. But at home - it's got to be a paperback!
DeleteOnce upon a time, I was adamantly against ebooks. Now, I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, the story is the only thing that matters. The medium by which that story is delivered is secondary. I don't care if novels are books or eBooks or audiobooks. I don't care if movies are shot on film or digital. I don't care if artists paint in oils or watercolors. The only thing I care about is the quality of the final work. The format in which the art is rendered is irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely! I remember when I never thought eBooks would have such a huge market. It's amazing how fast technology changes things. Make it easy, make it affordable, and make it accessible globally - and you've got yourself a whole new medium of art!
DeleteWhat's funny is I've noticed that I read e-books faster, and paper books slower--I seem to savor them more. So it depends how impatient I am to read a book. Overall, I prefer paper books since they're permanent.
